FasTest Inc. announces its CGA 540 connectors for medical oxygen and industrial gas filling applications. FasTest’s G540 provides a simple, one-hand sleeve locking connection with no twist or turns required to begin filling compressed gas cylinders in a matter of seconds. With easy operation and minimal maintenance, the G540 is specifically designed for self-contained 540 medical cylinder and inverted rack filling.

To accommodate diverse applications, the G540 connector is available in a standard 1/4?male NPT termination port model and 90-degree right angle 1/4?female NPT termination port model. Both configurations feature rugged stainless steel and brass body wetted components for use in harsh environments, and can withstand pressures up to 3600 psi. With a one-piece exterior body construction and fewer seals to maintain, the G540 offers a simple and durable design.

The new G540 sleeve actuated connector is part of FasTest’s comprehensive G-Series bail handle connector family that delivers a low-maintenance, cost-effective method of cylinder filling. Featuring a unique roller bail handle actuation technology, the bail handle models connect a threaded collet to the valve threads. By rotating the bail roller handle over the connector and tank valve, the connector is instantly locked in place with minimal effort. The smooth operating, one-hand bail roller actuation allows operators to quickly connect/disconnect cylinder valves and improve throughput to the filling location. This technology also reduces user fatigue and enhances safety by eliminating repetitive twisting and turning connection methods common with traditional technologies for a fast, ergonomic alternative.
