in - Redesigned Locking Devices Enhance Connectivity in Industrial Applications

REVIEW
Power management company Eaton today announced the redesign of its lINe of Arrow Hart industrial locking devices and straight blade plugs and connectors. Ideal for industrial applications, the updated line of plugs and connectors now features a comfortable, ergonomic grip and a universal cord clamping system that accommodates all cord sizes, allowing for maximum security and connection strength.

“Our newest design is a direct result of market research and feedback from our product development team, who worked hard to build industrial devices that meet the evolving needs of our customers and the demanding environments in which they work,?said Andrew Bernard, marketing manager, Industrial Products, Eaton’s Cooper Wiring Devices business.

To provide an optimal cord grip and a secure connection for any cable size up to 1 inch, the redesigned plugs and connectors include new custom, reversible inserts. These inserts can be adjusted or removed based on incoming cable size to reduce connection gaps and maintain a consistent appearance. These devices also feature a unique, double dovetail design to keep the cord grip aligned with the center of the cord, reducing stress on the terminal connections.

The complete portfolio now also includes its National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) designation, electrical ratings and part numbers directly on the unit, clearly visible even when in use. Supplemental labeling has also been added to the locking receptacles. This new labeling process helps enhance efficiency and allows the end user to conveniently reference product specifications, even without disconnecting the devices.
