Advantech - Advantech Releases Two New Models to their Award Winning EKI-3000 Series of Ethernet Switches and Media Converters
REVIEW
ADVANTECH has introduced two new products to their existing range of award winning EKI-3000 series of Ethernet switches and media converters. The EKI-3525M and EKI-3525S compliment the series by adding 4+1 multi-mode and single-mode fiber port fast Ethernet switches that have 12~48 VDC power dual input.
Advantech now has six Ethernet switches and two media converters.. All models have a wide range of power input from 8.4VDC to 52.8VDC for long distances and to prevent them from being affected by drops in power. To further enhance the ruggedness of the models, they are all IP40 certified and exceed the basic requirements of many industries.
In the event of an error, all the models include a self-diagnostic and detection function which helps engineers quickly establish where the fault lies. User manuals are difficult to find in the heat of the moment so to help, all models include a QR code which allows engineers to scan the code and immediately access the model’s user manual. Since the devices operate continuously, this can add to the electricity bill therefore, Advantech has ensured that they meet the IEEE802.3az standard which saves up to 50% energy consumption.
All models feature green solutions that automatically adjust power consumption by detecting the link status and cable length. Designed with 1/2 "VIP" ports to get optimal bandwidth for media traffics through VIP ports, users can experience better performance of multimedia streaming preferred through prioritized bandwidth setting. The devices come with compact housing to provide customers with a clever solution to install in space limited industrial environments. In the event of a power failure and/or connection loop issue, an integrated LED will display an alarm to notify administrators.
